"No Game No Life" Light Novel Series Gets 3 Million Copies in Print

All-new film "No Game No Life Zero" hits Japanese theaters July 15

Kodokawa posted a 30-second new CM narrated by voice actress Ayaka Imamura for Yuu Kamiya's fantasy light novel series No Game No Life on its official anime YouTube channel today, announcing that the series with 10 volumes has printed three million copies in five years since it started its publication in April 2012. Back in August 2016 when its ninth volume was released, the publisher confirmed that 2 million copies were printed by then, so it means the series has added another one million in just eight months.

The novel's TV anime adaptation animated by Madhouse was aired for 12 episodes from April to June 2014,

and its prequel feature film No Game No Life Zero that is set over 6,000 years before the novel's main story

will be released in Japan on July 15, 2017.
