Collaboration with botanical gardens in Higanshiizu, Shizuoka, Japan begins on July 15, 2017
Atagawa Tropical & Alligator Park - a botanical garden located in Higashiizu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan - is teaming up with the banana-loving protagonist of AHO-GIRL for a collaboration campaign that begins on July 15, 2017. The team-up stems from the fact that the park's official name in Japanese is "Atagawa Banana Wani En".
The collaboration includes original character goods and original artwork featuring the cast of AHO-GIRL wearing T-shirts decorated with Atagawa Tropical & Alligator Park's alligator mascot. Additional promotional campaigns are planned with the Izukyu Line railroad company and the Atagawa Onsen Tourist Association, with details to be announced at a later date on the official AHO-GIRL TV anime home page.
The original AHO-GIRL manga by Hiroyuki is serialized Kodansha's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, and an English language version is also published by Kodansha Comics. The AHO-GIRL TV anime is directed by Keizō Kusakawa and Shingo Tamaki and features animation by Diomedéa. Crunchyroll describes the series as follows:
She is Hanabatake Yoshiko, and she's an idiot through and through. She loves bananas, and she loves her childhood friend Akkun. That is all! Summer 2017, Aho Girl gets its long-awaited anime! Watching it will surely cheer you up, probably?
