"JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" Manga Author Araki Posts Comments on Live-Action Film

MAiDiGi TV has posted four-part video report of the film's Japan premiere event yesterday

To promote the upcoming theatrical release in Japan, the official website for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable Chapter I has posted comments from the original manga author Hirohiko Araki. His video message introducing the comments was also screened at the film's Japan premiere event held in Tokyo yesterday.

Message from Hirohiko Araki:

"In the coming August, Jojo's film will be finally released. I think there are some manga readers who have felt very anxious about it along with great expectations, but the high completion level of the film far exceeds your anticipation. The character building by the protagonists and others dominate the scenes overwhelmingly with cinematic suspense. The CG and the soundtrack music are also amazing enough to make the film more exciting. Please enjoy the film breathlessly this summer.

Thank you very much."

The first chapter of the live-action film series based on the fourth story arc of Araki's long-running JoJo's

Bizarre Adventure manga, directed by 56-year-old Takashi Miike (Yatterman, Terra Formars), is set for

release in Japan on August 4, 2017.
