Romantic shōjo manga by Kanan Minami is also being adapted into a live-action film
Miseinen Dakedo Kodomo Janai ("That is Not a Child But a Minor"), a popular shōjo romance manga by Kanan Minami, is being adapted into a motion comic that will be distributed on the dTV website beginning on September 08, 2017. The motion comic features the voice talents of Nao Tōyama as Karin Oriyama, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Nao Tsurugi, and Kōdai Sakai as Isuzu Ebina.
The story of Miseinen Dakedo Kodomo Janai follows Karin Oriyama, a girl who at the age of 16 marries her first love: a popular, athletic, and intelligent high school student named Nao Tsurugi. However, although Karin loves Nao with all of her heart, Nao only agrees to the marriage for financial reasons. Karin and Nao keep the marriage a secret, but trouble brews when Isuzu Ebina, Karin's childhood friend, learns of the marriage and decides that they need to break-up so that he can pursue Karin himself.
Miseinen Dakedo Kodomo Janai was originally serialized from 2012 - 2016 in Shogakukan's Shōjo Comic manga magazine. The live-action film adaptation is directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa and stars Yuna Taira, Kento Nakajima, and Yuri Chinen. Miseinen Dakedo Kodomo Janai will be released in theaters in Japan on December 23, 2017.
