Several Japanese media have reported that a TV anime adaptation of Masao Ohtake's comedy manga Hinamatsuri is in the works for a Spring 2018 premiere. The author is a former assistant for Tetsuya Saruwatari, who is known for his action/violence manga series, such as Riki-Oh and Tough

Hinamatsu is Ohtake's first serialization manga work. It started its serialization first in Enterabrain's bimonthly manga magazine Fellows! in 2010, and has been still running after the magazine changed its name to Harta in 2013. Its latest 13th tankobon volume is set to be released in Japan this Friday, September 15.

The story centers around Yoshifumi Nitta, a young yakuza of the Ashikawa-gumi. One day, a strange elliptical object falls down to his room, and an emotionless girl Hina is in it. Threatened by her psychic power, Nitta allows her to live in his room. Nitta has to take care of Hina, who is lazy and

careless about herself. Gradually, Hina starts putting her trust in Nitta who never tries to use her power
