Live-Action "Death Note" Director Kills Twitter Account Following Harassment

Reportedly, the exchanges got heated to the point where the harassment of Wingard included threats

The live-action Death Note that ran on Netflix this summer wasn't exactly well recieved by fans or critics and director Adam Wingard certainly heard about it on Twitter. Wingard fired back with his own contentious comments like "Film criticism is different than bitching at filmmakers on twitter," and "Are you talking to me or all 23 of your followers?"

Reportedly, the exchanges got heated to the point where the harassment of Wingard included threats. In the wake of this, Wingard has deleted his Twitter account.
