Video Games Show Their "SPIRIT" for Hurricane Support

New cover EP raises money for Harvey victims while bringing attention to other hurricane survivors.

Multiplayer Charity, a branch of game music producers Materia Collective, have been combining fandom and good works to bring help and change since their founding in 2014. Their efforts have raised more than $10,000 for charities such as Child's Play,, and more. And now, they're turning their sites to hurricane relief.

SPIRIT is four tracks of video game music created by the collaboration of nearly 100 musicians and vocalists. The EP reimagines songs from UNDERTALE, Final Fantasy VII, Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire, and Journey. Funds raised go to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund in Houston.

While the album specifically targets Houston-based charity, SPIRIT also calls upon us to remember and reach out to Florida, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Many of the artists who took part in the creation of this album hail from areas directly affected by the recent storms.

SPIRIT is available for $5 on Bandcamp -- order now and help do your part for hurricane relief.
