Contrary to previous reports, series creator Yoko Kamio states there are no talks of a live-action remake
Crunchyroll previously reported that a new live-action TV drama adaptation of Boys Over Flowers (known as Hana Yori Dango in the original Japanese) was being developed for an April 2018 release on Tokyo Broadcasting System, but according to the original manga author, Yoko Kamio, no such plans are in the works. Kamio issued the denial on her official Twitter feed.
Translation: "I thought it wasn't good for the original author to respond to hoax stories, so I remained silent at first. But I've received so many replies, and the story was doomed to become a trend word, and because it's becoming somewhat difficult for people and they have asked me to intervene, I have one thing to say. There is no Boys Over Flowers TV drama remake. Why this rumor caught on is a mystery to me..."
