"Himouto! Umaru-chan" Manga Author Thanks Fans, and Announces a Sequel "G"

"As a manga artist, there's nothing that could make me happier than this."

As reported, Sankaku Head's comedy manga series Himouto! Umaru-chan ended its five-year serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump in its latest 50th issue published today in Japan. At the same time, the manga author posted his own messages to the fans on his official Twitter, and also confirmed a plan for its sequel Himouto! Umaru-chan G. Check out his Twitter messages below.

"'Himouto! Umaru-chan' finally has its final chapter in Young Jump released today! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me so far! ...And Umaru will move to her new stage...! She will come back in 'Himouto! Umaru-chan G'! I hope you'll be looking forward to it!"

"In the last chapter, I was able to draw the story I had always wanted to draw! When I start writing a

manga story, I always decide its final conclusion at the beginning, but because of various reasons, it is

very rare that I can draw it as it is. Despite of such a situation, I was able to draw the last chapter I

wanted for 'Umaru-chan.' As a manga artist, there's nothing that could make me happier than this..!"

"I couldn't do this without the continuous support of my readers. Thank you so much!"

Meanwhile, Shueisha also confirmed that the sequel Himouto! Umaru-chan G will start its serialization

in the 53rd issue of Weekly Young Jump to be released on November 30.
