Live-Action "Fullmetal Alchemist" Moviegoers to Receive Newly-Drawn Manga by Hiromu Arakawa

2018 poster calendar using the new visual will be given next from December 23

The official website for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's Hagane no Renkinjutsushi/Fullmetal Alchemist manga announced today that moviegoers will receive "Fullmetal Alchemist 0," a newly-drawn prequel manga book by the original author herself from its opening day, December 1, till the stock lasts. It is the first manga episode by her in seven years since the manga ended in 2010.


The prequel story is set just after the protagonist Edward Elric became the youngest State Alchemist in Amestris' National Army and tells the departure of the two Elric brothers' journey to restore their human bodies. It directly continues to the story of the live-action film. From December 23, a 2018 poster calendar using the visual of "Fullmetal Alchemist 0" will be given to moviegoers as the second freebie.
