"Atelier Lydie & Suelle" Has a Late March Date with the West

Koei Tecmo announces plans for North America and Europe

Those looking forward to the next entry in the Atelier series now have a date to mark down for its western release. Koei Tecmo announced plans to bring Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists of the Mysterious Paintings to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in North America on March 27, followed by Europe on March 30.

Anyone who pre-orders the game through select retailers will receive DLC costumes based on legacy alchemists Marie and Erie, as well as an item set of useful alchemical ingredients and battle-themed music. There are also two custom PS4 themes available for anyone who purchases the digital version within four weeks of launch.

Here's Koei Tecmo's synopsis:

This next installment to the loved Atelier franchise celebrates the 20th Anniversary for the franchise and summons players to become the best alchemist ever by following the tale of the apprentice alchemist twins Lydie and Suelle. While working with their father to make their atelier the best in town, the outgoing twins surprisingly discover colorful worlds by jumping into magical paintings and soon find that the mysterious paintings hold the residual thoughts of their deceased mother. Traveling through different paintings reveals vivid worlds for the twins – from the light tones of the ethereal ‘Heavenly Flower Garden’, with the falling rain of stars, to the gloomy hues of the not so delightful Halloween-inspired ‘The Spooky Forest’.
