Brawny Battling Manga "Kengan Ashura" Makes the Leap to Anime

Seinen web manga in which violence rules all is serialized in Shogakukan's "Ura Sunday" digital magazine

Kengan Ashura, a violent seinen action manga written by Sandrovich Yabako and illustrated by Daromeon in which rich corporations bet on pit-fighting matches to solve disputes, is being adapted into an anime. Details about the production (such as the cast, crew, and format) are currently scarce, although an official Twitter feed (@kengankai) has been published.

The original Kengan Ashura manga is serialized in Shogakukan's Ura Sunday digital magazine. The story follows Tokita Ohma, an independent fighter who battles in underground tournaments where rich elites place huge wagers on the outcomes of matches. Nicknamed "Ashura" due to his unstoppable fighting style, Tokita soon attracts the attention of unscrupulous businessmen and his fellow fighters alike.
