The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Satoru Noda's historical action manga Golden Kamuy posted a 50-second first PV introducing the voices of its two main characters: Saichi Sugimoto by Chikahiro Kobayashi (Jolly the Johnny in Duel Masters) and Asirpa by Haruka Shiraishi (Kirie Motoba in Himouto! Umaru-chan) for the first time. It is also confirmed that it is set to premiere on TOKYO MX, Yomiuri TV, Sapporo TV, and BS11 in April 2018, and will be also streamed exclusively on Fuji TV's on-demand streaming service FOD in Japan.

The adaptation of the 9th Manga Grand Prix Award winning title in 2016 is directed by Hitoshi Namba (Fate/Grand Order -First Order-), alongside series composition writer Noboru Takagi (Kuroko's Basketball) and character designer Kenichi Onuki (Gundam Build Fighters). GENO STUDIO (Genocidal Organ) works on anime production as one of its first TV anime series.
