Girls Are Horses of Course in "Uma Musume - Pretty Derby" Teaser

TV anime inspired by Cybgames' in-development smart phone game heads to the races in April of 2018

 

A new key visual (above) and a new teaser trailer (below) are now available online for Uma Musume - Pretty Derby, an upcoming TV anime based on the mixed media project by Cygames, TOHO animation, and Lantis that imagines a setting where moe horse-girls compete to be the fastest racers in the world.

 

 

Uma Musume - Pretty Derby is directed by Kei Oikawa and features animation by P.A. Works. The story follows Special Week, a horse-girl from the countryside who moves to the big city in order to train at a school dedicated to racing. Together with her teammates, Special Week aims to conquer the "Twinkle Series" and to earn the title of "Japan's Number 1 Horse-Girl".

 

Uma Musume - Pretty Derby will begin its Japanese broadcast in April of 2018.
