TV anime about young men who love Sanrio mascot characters debuts on January 06, 2018
Three more cast members and a new preview video have been revealed for Sanrio Boys (known as Sanrio Danshi in Japan), an upcoming TV anime about a group of young men who bond over their secret passion for Sanrio mascot characters such as Hello Kitty and Pompompurin. The new cast members include:
- Daisuke Kishio as Yamato Machida.
- Chihiro Suzuki as Akira Tsuchiya.
- And Makoto Furukawa as Satoshi Matsuo.
Sanrio Boys is directed by Masahi Kudo and features animation by Studio Pierrot. The story of Sanrio Boys follows Kouta Hasegawa, a boy whose boring high school life grows more exciting when he meets other students who share his enthusiasm for Sanrio mascot characters, including an ace soccer play who loves Hello Kitty and a shy half-English student with a passion for the Little Twin Stars.
Sanrio Boys will broadcast on Tokyo MX and MBS (Mainichi Broadcasting System) beginning on January 06, 2018, with additional broadcasts to follow later on TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting, TV Hokkaido, TV Aichi, Miyagi TV, Television Oita System, and more.
