Watch "Hayate the Combat Butler" Manga Author's Drawing Video of Nagi
Submissions for the 1st "Sunday Webry New Face Award" will be accepted till January 15, 2018

To promote Shogakukan's newly-launched open competition for original web manga works, the 1st Sunday Webry New Face Award, 42-year-old manga artist Kenjiro Hata provided a two-minute fast forward drawing video of Nagi Sanzenin, the female protagonist of his Hayate the Combat Butler series. He serves as judge for the "theme" category of the award, and the theme for the first competition is "She is dead." The other category is "Free," in which you can make a story about anything. There is no page restriction for both categories.
Submissions will be accepted till January 15, 2018. You can send your work via this form. The Gold Prize winner will receive a prize money of 300,000 yen (about 2,650 yen) and his/her work will be immediately posted on Shogakukan's Sunday Webry website.
