Official site releases montage vid so you can remember Joe.
It's 2018 in Japan, which means we can start celebrating the legacy of sports series Ashita no Joe in its big year. The manga-turned-anime turns 50 this year, and there are already plenty of plans underway to recognize the occasion. But to kick off the year right, the official anniversary site has started us with a great montage:
Set to the show's jazzy "Midnight Blues," the 50th anniversary PV brings together iconic scenes from the manga and anime, along with statements from artist Tetsuya Chiba and others.
We can expect plenty more celebratory occasions throughout the year -- including the already-teased boxing anime Megalo Box, inspired by Ashita no Jo and coming from TMS this spring.
