Action game was first announced back in September 2015
Liden Films' Killing Bites anime isn't the only project that's been attempting to bring Shinya Murata and Kazasa Sumita's manga to life. An action game has been in the works for PS4 and PS Vita for a while now, with the first announcement coming way back in September 2015. It's been a bumpy road for this one, though, and the official website reflects the decision to cancel it completely.
The first big bump came when Killing Bites missed its 2016 release window, switching publishers from Nex Entertainment to Fields in the process. At the time they were planning to use the extra time to focus on multiplayer, but the situation worsened from there.
This past September, two years after its announcement, Fields told Gematsu that Killing Bites was no longer in active development. It turned out the launch delay came about as a result of the developer's dissolution, and the future of Killing Bites remained in the lurch for a while. Now it appears its fate is sealed, and the team behind the game thanks everyone for all the support given throughout the process.
You may now bid farewell to one of the Killing Bites game's character models.
