Netflix's worldwide distribution begins soon for 3DCG theatrical anime film by Polygon Pictures and Toho Animation
Godzilla: Monster Planet (known simply as Godzilla in English), the 1st part in a trilogy of 3DCG theatrical anime films featuring an embattled group of colonists attempting to survive on a future Earth dominated by Godzilla, has a new teaser trailer and an official worldwide release date on Netflix on January 17, 2018.
Released theatrically in Japan in November of 2017, Godzilla: Monster Planet will be digitally distributed by Netflix in 190 territories. The film features the original Japanese language with subtitles in 23 different languages, including English, Chinese, and Arabic. Godzilla: Monster Planet will also be available dubbed in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Castilian Spanish. The availability of subtitle and language dub options will vary from region to region.
Gozilla: Monster Planet is directed by Kōbun Shizuno and Hiroyuki Seshita and features animation by Polygon Pictures and Toho Animation. The 2nd film in the trilogy, Godzilla - Decisive Battle: Mobile Breeder City, hits theaters in Japan in May of 2018. Netflix describes the story of the 1st film in the series as follows:
