The long-running sci-fi series has printed over 8.5 million copies
The official website for Mamoru Nagano's sci-fi manga saga The Five Star Stories has confirmed that its latest 14th tankobon volume is set to be released in Japan on February 10. The number of pages is 256, the price is 1,300 yen (excluding tax). It has been two and half years since the previous 13th volume in August 2015. It is much shorter than the case of the 13th volume, because the fans had to wait nine years after the 12th volume was released in April 2006.
The manga started serialization in the April 1986 issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype monthly anime magazine. After several breaks, the serialization resumed in the magazine's March 2016 issue. It has printed over 8.5 million copies in Japan.
