"Gintama Rumble" Adds "Dragon Ball Z" Parody Characters as Assists

Brieza and Cello get in on the action

If you're a long-time Gintama follower, you no doubt remember the Dragon Ball Z parody characters that made their debut in episode 119. Gintoki voice actor Tomokazu Sugita voices Cello, while Tetsuhara Ohta voices Brieza, and both are coming to the Gintama Rumble video game.

According to the latest issue of Jump, Brieza and Cello will act as assist characters in the action game. Players who successfully align the slots in Gintama Pachinko will be able to transform into Cello, though, giving you a chance to zip through the sky and fire off energy blasts.

The Japanese and Southeast Asian releases of Gintama Rumble are right around the corner on January 18. It's coming to PS4 and PS Vita, and you can see some recent footage of the portable version below.
