"Saint Young Men" Actor/Theme Performer Lends Music to "Doraemon"

Gen Hoshino will provide ED as well as insert song for "Nobita's Treasure Island"

Anime fans will likely recognize Gen Hoshino as the voice of Buddha in the anime adaptation of Saint Young Men. But the voice actor is, first and foremost, a multitalented singer/songwriter. And he'll be lending more of his musical talents to this year's Doraemon movie.

Hoshino was previously confirmed to be writing and performing an insert song for the upcoming Nobita's Treasure Island, titled "Koko ni Inai Anata e." Now it's been announced that he will also be providing the ED theme as well, the title of which will be revealed tomorrow.

The song and PV will be premiered on TV Asahi's Good! Morning tomorrow, January 16. The single goes on sale February 28 for 1,200 yen standard, or 1,800 yen for a first-press limited edition featuring a CD and DVD package.

Doraemon the Movie 2018: Nobita's Treasure Island premieres in Japan March 3.
