"Comic Girls" Anime Reveals New Key Visual

Series premieres this April

Earlier this month we got a chance to check out the second promo for the Comic Girls anime, which adapts the four-panel comic-making manga by Kaori Hanzawa. The series premieres this April, and the official website recently updated with the key visual.

Yoshinobu Tokumoto directs the Comic Girls anime at anime studio Nexus. The story follows Kaoruko Moeta, a 15-year-old high school student who makes yonkoma manga under the pen name of "Chaos". After a reader survey ranks Kaoruko at rock bottom, her editor recommends a transfer to an all-female manga creator dorm, where Kaoruko lives and commiserates with fellow mangaka Koyume Koizuka (a shojo manga artist), Ruki Irokawa (an ecchi manga artist), and Tsubasa Katsuki (a shonen manga artist).
