"Kakegurui" Anime Makes Its Netflix Debut in the West on February 1

First season finally gets a concrete launch date

If you've been staying strong and holding out for the official English stream of the Kakegurui anime, it's almost here. Netflix narrowed down the launch date for the first season to February 1 in the United States, United Kingdom, and the Philippines.

Based on the manga by Homura Kawamoto and Tōru Naomura, the Kakegurui anime first broadcast in Japan last July, and Netflix Japan started streaming it in the same month. Here's Netflix's lean 'n mean description:

High roller Yumeko Jabami plans to clean house at Hyakkaou Private Academy, a school where students are evaluated solely on their gambling skills.

Yen Press has published the first three volumes of the manga in English, with volume 4 slated to arrive on February 6.
