Original fantasy series heads to Netflix Japan in March of 2018 and Tokyo MX and other stations in April of 2018
A new key visual and a new trailer have been released for LOST SONG, an upcoming original fantasy TV anime in which the lives of two very different young women are entwined by the power of their magical songs.
LOST SONG is directed by Junpei & Morita and features animation by LIDENFILMS in collaboration with DWANGO. The series will be streamed online via Netflix Japan beginning on March 31, 2018, with worldwide distribution to follow on Netflix in the Summer season of 2018. LOST SONG will also broadcast on Tokyo MX beginning on April 07, 2018, with additional broadcasts to follow later on TV Aichi, BS Fuji, Sun TV, and KBS Kyoto.
Netflix describes LOST SONG as follows:
Rin (Konomi Suzuki), an energetic girl who loves to eat, lives in a verdant frontier village. Deep within the royal palace in the bustling capital city, the songstress Finis (Yukari Tamura) spends her days in solitude. Both share a special power no other person has. A miraculous power that can heal wounds, create water and stir the wind -- the power of song. Guided by destiny, the two young women each face an arduous journey with the power of song. The shadow of war looms over the kingdom, tainting even the miraculous songs with the blood of innocents. Loved ones meet their deaths as silent screams echo through a stone prison. As two destinies intersect, will the final song be one of despair, hope or...?
