Manga Author Naoki Urasawa Wins Two Awards at Angoulême Festival

"Pluto" and "Monster" author takes home Special Award and mystery award


France loves manga author Naoki Urasawa, known for acclaimed works like Pluto, Monster, 20th Century Boys, and Master Keaton, among others. They once again showed him just how much they love him during the 45th Angoulême International Comics Festival, during which he received two prestigious awards.


In addition to having an exhibit of his works on display, Urasawa took home both the Fauve Special Award and the Fauve Polar SNCF Special Award for mystery works.

Those in France who want to check out Angoulême's Naoki Urasawa exhibit for themselves will be able to do so at Hôtel de Ville's Paris Rendez-Vous from February 13 to March 31.
