Co-production between Sega Toys and Sanrio kicked off its first season in February of 2016
The tiny flower fairies of Rilu Rilu Fairilu, a children's TV anime co-production between Sega Toys and Sanrio, will return to Japanese TV for a third season in 2018. The announcement was made via the official Rilu Rilu Fairilu Twitter feed (@rilurilu_anime), with further details about the production (such as the cast, crew, and release schedule) to follow at a later date.
The first season of Rilu Rilu Fairilu ran for 59 episodes from February of 2016 - March of 2017, while the second season debuted in April of 2017 and will continue running until March of 2018. The two earlier seasons are directed by Sakura Gojo and Nana Imanaka and feature animation by Studio Deen. The story of Rilu Rilu Fairilu follows a group of young flower fairies who attend a magical academy and study the world of humans in order to learn and to grow.
