Idols Fight for Love in "Magical Girl Ore" TV Anime Trailer

New key visual and TV broadcast schedule revealed for gender-bending magical girl comedy

The official website for Magical Girl Ore, an upcoming TV anime based on the gender-bending magical girl / idol comedy manga by Icchokusen Mōkon, has updated with a bunch of new information, including a new key visual (above), a new trailer (below), and the Japanese TV broadcast schedule.

In Magical Girl Ore, Saki Uno is an aspiring singer for the idol unit Magical Twin who has a major crush on her best friend's brother, Mohiro Mikage, the lead singer of the top male idol unit STAR☆PRINCE. Saki is distressed when she learns that her mother was formerly a magical girl, but when Mohiro is in endangered, she agrees to a magical girl contract in order to save her beloved. Her magical girl transformation, however, is not quite what Saki expected...

It's also been revealed that Megumi Ogata and U-ya Asaoka will perform the chorus for "Gurasu no Ginga" ("Galaxy of Glass"), the ending theme for Magical Girl Ore. The main portion of "Gurasu no Ginga" is performed in-character by STAR☆PRINCE, a male idol vocal unit composed of Mohiro Mikage (voiced by Toshiyuki Toyonaga) and Hyoue (voiced by Kōji Yusa).

The original Magical Girl Ore manga was serialized in Fusion Product's Comic Be manga magazine. The Magical Girl Ore TV anime is directed by Itsuro Kawasaki and features animation by Pierrot+. Magical Girl Ore will broadcast in Japan according to the following TV schedule:

  • AT-X: every Sunday during the 22:00 time slot beginning on April 02, 2018.
