Animax Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary with Original TV Anime "Akanesasu Shojo"

Manga artist Masakazu Katsura (Video Girl, ZETMAN) provides the original character designs

Animax Broadcast Japan announced today on March 22 that its anime satellite television network Animax's 20th anniversary title Akanesasu Shojo (Glowing Red Girl) will be produced as a TV anime series and a smartphone app. The TV anime will be aired on Animax, ANIMAX on PlayStation®, and terrestrial stations across Japan. The app can be played free of basic charge. 

 

While no details of the plot has been revealed yet, the tagline reads, "I/Watashi (me) meet Me/Kanojo (her), then I say goodbye to Nichijo (everyday life)/Sekai (world).

Jin Tamamura (Chivalry of a Failed Knight) serves as director, alongside series director Yuichi Abe

(Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial) and series composition writer Shogo Yasukawa (Food Wars!:

Shokugeki no Soma). Manga artist Masakau Katsura (Video Girl, ZETMAN) provides the original character

designs, and Daiki Harada ([email protected], Sweetness and Lightning) designs the anime
