Adaptation based on moe survival-horror manga is directed by Issei Shibata
A live-action film based on SCHOOL-LIVE! (known as Gakko Gurashi in Japan), a manga written by Norimitsu Kaihou and illustrated by Sadoru Chiba that combines moe and survival-horror elements in story about a group of girls living at their school, is currently in-development, and now the main cast for the movie has been revealed. The main cast includes:
Nanami Abe as Kurumi Ebisuzawa.
Midori Nagatsuki as Yuki Takeya.
Wakana Majima as Yuri Wakasa.
And Rio Kiyohara as Miki Naoki.
The original SCHOOL-LIVE! manga is serialized in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Forward seinen manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Yen Press. The series was previously adapted into a 2015 TV anime with direction by Masaomi Ando and animation by Lerche, which is available via streaming on Crunchyroll.
The live-action SCHOOL-LIVE! movie is directed by Issei Shibata and is scheduled to hit theaters in Japan in the Fall season of 2018.
