"OneRoom VR" App Takes Up Residence in Summer of 2018

Free demonstration of the augmented reality app will be held at the UDX Gallery Next 2 venue in Akihabara in May

OneRoom VR, an augmented reality smart phone app inspired by the "first-person" TV anime OneRoom, will be officially released in the early Summer season of 2018, and app-developers Gugenka are drumming up anticipation for the release with a free demonstration that will be held at the UDX Gallery Next 2 venue in Akihabara on May 03 - 04, 2018.

The demonstration will allow visitors to interact with Yui Hanasaka as she studies in her room, which is one of the scenarios of the full app release. The demonstration runs from 11:00AM - 8:00 PM JST on May 03, and from 11:00AM - 7:00PM on May 04.

Created through a crowd-funding project on Campfire back in December of 2017, the OneRoom VR app is an augmented reality program for Android and iOS smart phones that allows users to interact with Yui Hanasaka (c.v. M・A・O), one of the lead characters of OneRoom. The app retails for 960 yen ($8.92 US) including tax.

The OneRoom TV anime is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, who describe the story as follows:

You are the protagonist. A new project in virtual anime from SMIRAL Animation that also brought you the "Anitore" series and "Makuranodanshi." This time, the project is about 3 stories that develop in your (one) room.
