Tickets for the 11 shows in Tokyo were all sold out

"Nanamaru Sanbatsu THE QUIZ STAGE," the stage play adaptation of Iqura Sugimoto's high school quiz competition-themed manga Nanamaru Sanbatsu/Fastest Finger First ends its six-day run at Zenrousai Hall Space Zero in Tokyo today. The play is written/directed by Kyoto-based comedy theater company Europe Kikaku (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time: The Sequel)'s Norihiro Ohtoshi, and has been performed at the venue (capacity: 575) 11 times since May 4. All of the tickets were reportedly sold out. 


2.5 News, a news site dedicated to stage play adaptations based on popular Japanese anime, manga, and games, has posted video reports of its dress rehearsal and press conference by the cast, including 22-year-old Yukito Nishii (Ciel Phantomhive in the Black Butler Musical) who plays the protagonist Shiki Koshiyama and 19-year-old Ayane Suzuki (idol group Nogizaka46 member) as the main heroine Mari Fukami.

The manga has been serialized in Kadokawa's Monthly Younge Ace since December 2010, and currently 14

tankobon volumes are available in Japan. The story centers on a senior high school student, Shiki Koshiyama.

Invited by his classmate Mari Fukami, he is fascinated by the art of buzzer-pressing and decides to join his

school's quiz club.


It was also adapted into a 12-episode TV anime from July to September 2017, and has been availableto 

Crunchyroll members worldwide except for Asia. Masaharu Okuwaki (Kirarin Revolution, Age 12: A Little

Heart-Pounding) served as director at TMS Entertainment.
