Horse girl racing / idol raising TV anime Umamusume: Pretty Derby hit a social media milestone recently by reaching over 100,000 followers on Twitter, and to celebrate the official account for the TV anime of the mixed media project by cygames, TOHO Animation, and Lantis released an enthusiastic new visual featuring Team Spica and their trainer.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby is directed by Kei Oikawa and features animation by P.A. Works. The series is currently broadcasting in Japan and is also available via streaming on Crunchyroll, who described the story of Umamusume: Pretty Derby as follows:

 

 

This is a tale of a world where "horse girl" with glorious names and incredible running abilities live alongside humanity. Horse girl Special Week has moved from the country to the city to attend Tracen Academy.
