Humorous spin-off based on Nobuyuki Fukumoto's gambling manga "Kaiji" hits Nippon TV in July of 2018
Seven more heavy-hitting voice actors have joined the cast of Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa ("The Chronicles of Middle Manager Tonegawa"), an upcoming TV anime based on the humorous spin-off manga that reimagines the villains of Nobuyuki Fukumoto's high stakes gambling manga Kaiji as a bunch of bumbling corporate bureaucrats. The new cast members include:
- Rikiya Koyama as Gonda.
- Akira Ishida as Keiichi Ogino.
- Takuma Terashima as Ataru Yaotome.
- Atsushi Miyauchi as Yoshiro Kurosaki.
- Kenjiro Tsuda as Yuuji Endou.
- Daisuke Namikawa as Seiya Ichijou.
- And Akio Ōtsuka as Masayasu Honda, aka "Masayan".
Based on original characters by Nobuyuki Fukomoto, the original Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa manga is written by Tensei Hagiwara, illustrated by Tomoihiro Hashimoto and Tomoki Miyoshi, and serialized in Kodansha's Gekkan Young Magazine. The series follows Yukio Tonegawa, a mid-level manager who is driven to distraction by the cruel whims of his boss and the foolishness of his subordinates.
The Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa TV anime features animation production by MADHOUSE, and it will broadcast as part of Nippon TV's "AnichU" programming block beginning in July of 2018.
