"Katekyo Hitman Reborn!" Stage Play Adaptation Scheduled for Fall 2018

Reborn anime VA Neeko is confirmed to reprise her role in the play

Marvelous announced today on June 4 that a stage play adaptation of Akira Amano's comedy shonen manga Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, titled "Katekyo Hitman Reborn! The STAGE," is scheduled to be performed in Tokyo and Osaka this fall.


The manga was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump for 409 chapters from 2004 to 2012, and its well-received TV anime adaptation by ARTLAND was aired for 203 episodes from 2006 to 2010. This is the first stage play for the franchise that has developed in various media, including games and novels.


34-year-old actress/fashion model Neeko, who voiced the title character Reborn in the anime, is confirmed to reprise her role in the play. The other protagonist Tsunayoshi Sawada is played by 24-year-old Ryohei Sawada, who is known as Moneky D. Luffy in the "One Piece Live Attraction" show

at Tokyo One Piece Tower. Other cast members of "Vongola Guardians" will be revealed one by one on

the stage play's official site from today. The play is written/directed by 41-year-old Maruichiro Maruo

(Gekidan Shikagoroshi/Office Shika).
