Autograph session and "Magical Angel Creamy Mami" screening & talk event also scheduled in June and July
Akemi Takada - a professional illustrator perhaps best well known for her character designs for such series as Urusei Yatsura, Magical Angel Creamy Mami, Kimagure Orange Road, and Mobile Police Patlabor - is celebrating the 40th anniversary of her career with an art exhibition that will run from June 28 - July 04, 2018, at the special event venue on the 2nd floor of the Tokyu Department Store Kichijōji in Tokyo, Japan.
The exhibition will focus mainly on Magical Angel Creamy Mami, which celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, although it will also feature artwork from other anime as well as original illustrations and a section selling art prints and other limited edition goods. Admission to the exhibition costs 800 yen ($7.30 US), although patrons can visit the goods corner for free.
Additionally, Akemi Takada will be holding an autograph session at the exhibition from 3:00 - 4:00 PM JST on June 30, 2018. The first 100 patrons who purchase 3000 yen ($27.36 US) or more from the exhibition goods corner will receive tickets to the signing as a bonus.
Finally, on July 01, 2018, a Magical Angel Creamy Mami screen & talk show event will be held at the special event venue of the Kichijōji Tokyu REI Hotel. The event runs from 3:00 - 5:00 PM JST and it will feature a screening of the first and final episodes of Creamy Mami as well as a talk portion with Akemi Takada and Studio Pierrot founder Yuuji Nunokawa. Tickets to the event retail for 3000 yen ($27.36 US), and seating is limited to 200 people.
