MACROSS: THE ART celeberates 35 years of music, robots, and romance
The Macross saga is celebrating more than 35 years of anime, film, and music. Next on their list of events is a massive exhibition, set to feature a recreation of a Valkyrie from the series!
MACROSS: THE ART 1982-2018 will consist of more than 350 items on display, chronicling the franchise from its beginnings as Super Dimension Fortress Macross to its most recent iteration as Macross Delta. The exhibits will be primarily standard artwork; however, one major exhibit is due to catch fans' eyes.
A YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie in Battroid mode will be on display at the site. The Durandal was notably piloted by Alto Saotome and Ozma Lee in Macross Frontier ~Sayonara no Tsubasa~. This section of the exhibit will also feature production materials from said film.
MACROSS: THE ART 1982-2018 will be on display from June 29 to October 29 at the Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum. Surrounding restaurants will be offering themed menu items during the exhibition's run, as well as coasters with Macross art.
