Guillermo del Toro Shows Off His Anime and Manga Merch Collection

Oscar-winning director has a special place just for his Japanese goods

Last night, Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Pan's Labyrinth) hopped on Twitter to share a peek into his extensive collection of anime merch, manga, and other Japan-related goods. The Oscar-winning director has never been shy about his many influences, and his overall enthusiasm for everything from Studio Ghibli films to the manga of Naoki Urasawa and beyond runs deep. His name has been attached to potential adaptations, as well, including Urasawa's Monster, so let's see what his personal stash looks like.

Check out a few select highlights below and see if anything surprises you. There's definitely no shortage of "That's So del Toro" content to marvel at, including the eye-popping art of Katsuya Terada and the excellent horror manga of Junji Ito and Kazuo Umezu.

You can see more pics on his Twitter if you can't get enough hot shelf action.
