Hiroshi Nishikiori (A Certain Magical Index, Trinity Seven)-directed film hits theaters October 5
It is confirmed today on June 30 that 23-year-old Japanese actress Alice Hirose (Aki Mikage in the live-action film Silver Spoon, Eri Chitanda in the live-action Hyouka) voices Sora, one of the protagonists in the upcoming anime feature film Monster Strike The Movie: Sora no Kanata (Beyond The Sky). This is the first time for her to play an anime character in her career. Alice is Suzu Hirose (Chihaya Ayase in the live-action Chihayafuru)'s four-year-older sister.
The second feature film based on mixi's popular smartphone game Monster Strike is directed by Hiroshi Nishikiori (A Certain Magical Index, Trinity Seven), with Orange (Land of the Lustrous) works on 3DCG animation. It is set to be released in Japan on October 5, 2018.
The film is set in a world divided into two sections: a floating city called "Old Tokyo" and the ground part "New Tokyo." While the people on the ground have lived peacefully, they have not been able to
make any communication and physical contact with the deserted "Old Tokyo." One day, they learn the
floating city will soon crush into the ground soon.
Hirose plays a mysterious girl with blue hair, Sora. She suddenly appears in front of another protagonist
Kanata, who is a high school boy, and asks for his help saying "You are the only one who can save the

The Monster Strike anime franchise's first feature film Monster Strike The Movie: Hajimari no Basho he (To
the Beginning Place) was released in 314 theaters across Japan on December 10, 2016, and dominated its
first weekend box office, earning a huge 439,612,800 yen from the 390,416 tickets sales.
Along with the TV series, Monster Strike The Movie has been available to Crunchyroll members worldwide
excluding Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.
