Mamoru Hosoda Film Festival Celebrates Director's Forward-Looking Works

Art exhibition and film screenings run from July 28 - August 24, 2018, at the Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku venue in Tokyo

 

The films of Mamoru Hosoda have always had a forward-looking quality, and in anticipation of the director's latest film, Mirai, the Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku venue in Tokyo, Japan, is celebrating Hosoda's career with an art exhibition as well as screenings of his previous works.

 

 

The "Mamoru Hosoda Film Festival" will run from July 28 - August 24, 2014, and it includes screenings of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006), Summer Wars (2009), Wolf Children (2012), The Boy and the Beast (2015), and Digimon Adventure: Our War Game! (2000). Tickets to the screening of Digimon Adventure: Our War Game! cost 800 yen ($7.22 US), while tickets the other films cost 1000 ($9.03 US) yen. The screening schedule will be revealed soon via the theater's official website.

 

 

The art exhibition is located on the 5th floor of the Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku building, and admittance to the art exhibition is free to the public.
