Ōkawa took a break from voice acting beginning in December of 2017 to seek medical treatment
In a statement through his agency, Mausu Promotion, voice actor Tōru Ōkawa announced his return to work after an extended absence to seek medical treatment. Ōkawa initially took time off beginning in December of 2017. He is probably best known in the West for such roles as Roy Mustang in the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist TV anime and the 2005 Fullmetal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shamballa film, Kureo Mado in Tokyo Ghoul, and the narrator in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
In the statement, Ōkawa apologizes for worrying his fans and thanks them for their continued support.
Welcome back, Mr. Ōkawa. We glad that you're feeling better, and we hope that you can continue performing for many, many years to come.
