Take Yumemi to the Movies in Planetarian VR Experience

Crowdfunded project turns watching the anime into an interactive experience

A crowdfunding campaign to bring you a little closer to the world of Planetarian has come to fruition: now, you and the heroine can watch her adventures together in virtual reality.

Anime VR SCREEN is a new branch of 360 Channel, a website specializing in 360-degree immersive video. With a combination of virtual reality and motion capture, the channel allows you to simulate sitting in a theater and watching episodes of the Planetarian ONA with Yumemi by your side. The video plays on screen in front of you, but you can also look around in all directions. Look to the side and you may catch Yumemi taking a nap or glancing over at you.

Planetarian is currently the only title available on Anime VR SCREEN. Each episode is 800 yen to buy, or 500 yen to rent.
