Tatsuya Nagamine (Heartcatch PreCure!)-directed film will open in Japan on December 14, 2018
The official website for Toei Animation's upcoming 20th Dragon Ball film ,which tells a sequel story to the Dragon Ball Super TV anime in 2015-2018, announced today on July 10 that its official title is Dragon Ball Super: Broly and also posted a main poster visual featuring Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan Blue form and Broly, with a tagline "The greatest enemy, Saiyan."

The Dragon Ball manga original creator Akira Toriyama serves as screenplay writer and character designer.
Toriyama says,"Everyone, do you know Broly? He is an excessively strong Saiyan who appeared only in the
past anime films, and it seemed I worked on only his design. But I was rarely involved in anime production
at that time, so I have totally forgotten about the films' contents. I have heard such Broly is still very popular
not only in Japan but worldwide. For that reason, my responsible editor suggested me, 'How about featuring
Broly in the next film?' After watching the films of that period, I felt it could be very interesting depending
on arrangements, then wrote a story including him in the Dragon Ball Super series."
On a screenplay by Toriyama, Dragon Ball Super: Broly is directed by Tatsuya Nagamine (Heartcatch PreCure!,
HappinesCharge PreCure), who served as series director for the Dragon Ball Super TV anime series, and is
set to open in Japan on December 14, 2018.
The 50,000 limited first edition of the film's advance ticket with Goku or Vegeta's "God Change Strap" will
be available at theaters from July 20.
