TV Anime Asobi Asobase Celebrates Japan's Marine Day with Special Swimsuit Art

Lerche-animated girls comedy series is now available on Crunchyroll

This year's July 16 is "Umi no Hi/Marine Day," a Japanese national holiday to give thanks to the ocean's bounty and to consider the importance of the ocean. To celebrate it, the official Japanese website for the ongoing TV anime adaptation of Rin Suzukawa's comedy manga Asobi Asobase now displays a special art of its three protagonist girls: Hanako Honda, Olivia, and Kasumi Nomura in swimsuit, for one day only.

The Lerche (Konohana Kitan, Kino's Journey -the Beautiful World- the Animated Series)-produced TV anime

adaptation, titled Asobi Asobase- workshop of fun - premiered in Japan on July 8, and has been also available

to Crunchyroll members worldwide except for Asia.

Olivia is a blonde-haired beauty who was born and raised in Japan, but can’t speak any English. Despite

always acting serious and as an intellectual, Kasumi is a bespectacled girl with short hair, who also can’t
