Non Non Biyori Vacation Hits the Beach for Marine Day

Anime theatrical film featuring Okinawa adventures heads to Japanese theaters on August 25, 2018


July 16, 2018, is the day that Japan celebrates "Marine Day" and gives thanks for everything that the sea provides, and the upcoming theatrical anime film Non Non Biyori Vacation is joining the festivities with a new illustration (above) featuring Renge and company having fun at the beach.



The original Non Non Biyori manga is serialized in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive seinen manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Seven Seas Entertainment. Crunchyroll currently streams Non Non Biyori and Non Non Biyori Repeat, and describes the story of the series as follows:


The closest book store sells Jump every Wednesday, the video rental shop is ten stations down. Vegetables are left out for sale, and no one’s ever even see a lock on a house. That’s the country life they live, but these five girls at Asahigaoka Branch School are enjoying it! Enjoy the leisurely, laid-back life of these unique girls! 



Non Non Biyori Vacation is directed by Shinya Kawatsura and features a script by Reiko Yoshida, character designs by Mai Ōtsuka, and animation by SILVER LINK.. The film hits theaters in Japan on August 25, 2018.
