Gitaroo Man Artist Explores What Game Characters Do After You Leave

Dot Bit Retro will run on newly rebranded Anime Beans

What happens once you put your games away for the day? That's what artist and personality 326 hopes to explore in his new tate-anime series, Dot Bit Retro: Boku Dake no Kusoge.

326 (full name Mitsuru Nakamura) lent his unique art style to the Gitaroo Man games, and is also known for his poetry and on-air work. His new project is the result of a successful crowdfunding campaign.

The story takes place inside the world of fictional handheld game Pocket Dogezaemon — specifically, how their lives unfold when the game is turned off. The voice cast announced so far includes:

Tart: CV Ami Koshimizu (Ryuko Matoi, Kill la Kill)

Earth: CV Rie Murakawa (Ram, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-)

Dogezaemon: CV Atsushi Imaruoka (Rudolf von Stroheim, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)

Papa: CV Manabu Sakamaki (Tsukikage, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V)

Mint: CV Satomi Moriya (Erwin, Girls und Panzer)

(Note: Names are not official romanizations.)

Dot Bit Retro is now streaming on the Production IG app Anime Beans (formerly Tate Anime).
