It is announced today on August 8 that Minatsuki (story) and As Futatsuya's slice-of-life web manga Dokyonin was Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue. (My housemate is on my knee, sometimes, on my head.) will get its TV anime adaptation in 2019. The anime 's official website has also opened with a teaser visual featuring its human protagonist Subaru Mikazuki and his pet cat Haru.
The manga has been serialized in Flex Comic's free web manga site Comic Polaris since June 2015 and has released four tankobon volumes in Japan. The story is about a joint life between Subaru Mikazuki, a mystery novelist who is not good at getting along with people, and Haru, a kitten picked up by him. Each manga episode is told through the two's separated point of views, as "Subaru chapter" and "Haru chapter," and so will the anime.
Kaoru Suzuki (DIVE!!) serves as director at ZERO-G (Grand Blue), alongside series composition writer
Deko Akao (3D Kanojo Real Girl, Music Girls) and character designer Masaru Kitao (DEATH NOTE,
Dances with the Dragons).
