The "PATLABOR EZY" project was revealed at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival last June,

and GENCO's president and representative director Taro Maki has confirmed he serves as producer. Further

details of the new anime such as staff and release schedule will be announced as soon as it is decided.

And soon after the initial announcement, 63-year-old Kazunori Ito said on his official Twitter that he had

been attached to the project. He is one of the original five members of Headgear, the team who created

the Patlabor franchise. Ito worked as the main scenario writer for its anime series. While "Headgear Presents"

is written above the title in the main visual, other Headgear members' involvement are currently unknown.
