TV anime adaptation of "food fantasy" light novel series is currently broadcasting in Japan and streaming on Crunchyroll

 

A new key visual (above) has been published for the upcoming stage play adaptation of Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits-, a production that is based on the series of "food fantasy" light novels written by Midori Yuuma and illustrated by Laruha about a young woman who becomes a cook at an inn in the spirit world.

Known as Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi in Japan, the original Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- light novels are published in Japan by Fujimi Shobo (a division of Kadokawa) under their Fujimi L Bunko imprint. The series has also been adapted into a TV anime with direction by Yoshiko Okuda and animation production by GONZO, which is currently broadcasting in Japan and streaming on Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll describes the story of Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- as follows:



After losing her grandfather, Aoi—a girl who can see spirits known as ayakashi—is suddenly approached by an ogre. Demanding she pay her grandfather’s debt, he makes a huge request: her hand in marriage! Refusing this absurd offer, Aoi decides to work at the Tenjin-ya bed and breakfast for the ayakashi to pay back what her family owes.

 

The Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- stage play will run from September 05 - 09, 2018, at the Theater Sun Mall venue in Tokyo, and from September 13 - 16, 2018, at the Nishitetsu Hall venue in Fukuoka.
