eastern youth Performs ED Theme for Golden Kamuy's Second Season

Adaptation of Satoru Noda's violent historical seinen action-adventure manga returns to Japanese TV in October of 2018

 

Golden Kamuy, the TV anime adaptation based on Satoru Noda's riotous historical seinen action-adventure manga about various scheming factions trying to collect a cache of stolen Ainu gold in early 20th century Hokkaido, is returning to Japanese TV in October of 2018, and Japanese punk rock band eastern youth is performing the new ending theme for the series.

 

 

The new ending theme is entitled "Tokeidai no Kane" ("The Bell of the Clocktower"), and it will be released as a single in Japan on November 14, 2018. eastern youth is made up of Hisashi Yoshino on electrical guitar and vocals, Yuka Muraoka on bass guitar, and Atsuya Tamori on drums. The band was formed in Sapporo, Hokkaido in 1988, and they are currently celebrating their 30th anniversary. 

 

 

The original Golden Kamuy manga is serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump seinen manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Viz Media. The Golden Kamuy TV anime is directed by Hitoshi Nanba and features animation by Geno Studio. The first season of Golden Kamuy is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, who describe the story as follows:

 

The story takes place in the mighty Northern field of Hokkaido, the time is in the turbulent late Meiji Era. A post war soldier Sugimoto, aka, “Immortal Sugimoto” was in need of large sums of money for a particular purpose….
